+in the silence of the heart+

Do you ever just feel as if you're far away from everyone around you? Like everyone just seems so.. distant? 

That's been me for the past three days. I just feel like I have no one close extremely close to me. 

So I've begged and pleaded with God to tell me if I'm doing something wrong, if I've been doing life wrong this whole time. 

Then while I was cleaning a neighbors basement, in an quiet, empty room, the words of a familiar worship song flipped on and spoke to me. 

"In the silence of the heart, You speak."

You see, I was so busy chattering away to myself, worrying about my surroundings, worried that I was lonely, I had forgotten to listen. 

I feel like there are so many times in my life where we get so caught up chatting away, we forget to listen for the still, small voice that whispers "you are forgiven an loved." 

My friends, I'm here to tell you aren't ever alone! There are times when God distances up from people to draw us closer to Him! He longs for us to know his heart as he knows our own, but if we get carried aways stressing about the next moment, can we really focus on our relationship with God? 

So, embrace distance. 

When you feel alone, rejoice in the fact that you are never alone! When you feel seperated from the world, use it pull yourself closer to God. Our lives comes in seasons, and just like you can't change the winter and it's cold, you can't control the seasons of life. Instead, bundle up and hit it head on. 

Take a breath, you're in your Creator's hands.
