Hello beautiful people! Today I invited one of my dearest friends and one of my favorite bloggers to do a guest post for me! She's an amazing writer and I can't wait for you to read what she has for you! Much love friends! -JR
HEY HEY HEY! I am so excited to be guest posting for mah lovely, amazing, beautiful friend, Jacy.
So, to be honest, I am still completely lost with what I'm going to write! But, I thought I could start by briefly introducing myself! I am a born and raised 14-year-old Kentuckian who lives on a farm literally in the middle of nowhere. Don't underestimate that statement. I have been blogging for almost four years now, and it has been a really great experience! I've met so many great people from all over the world. I am one of soon-to-be nine siblings. I get asked very often how life is in a family of almost eleven, and uh.. It's really interesting and very loud, but i wouldn't trade it for the world! Jesus is my everything. Without Him my life would be nothing. He has pulled me from the mire and made a working progress of beauty, instead of ashes and for that I am forever grateful. :) But that's the basics. There's more on my "about" page on my blog!
I have debated for well over fifteen hours now of what I would talk about and my favorite verse (and I can assure you one of Jacy's as well) at the moment keeps coming to me: "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Isaiah 43:19
This whole chapter is really quite amazing, but every time I read this verse it touches me. There is hope in Jesus guys! Isn't that just the best news?! I have been in places before where I just want to give up. I'm sure everyone has been in a place like that for many different reasons. But no matter the reason, I have good news: Jesus has already won the battle. Satan is trying to get you to believe that you will just be here forever and trying to weaken you so you will just give up. Don't ever back down. James says: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." But stop for a minute. Sometimes people just jump to the middle of the verse, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." But we have to take this one step at a time. So first: submit yourself to God. Submit first your life to God. That's the single most important step you can ever take in your life. But then, submit whatever you're struggling with to Him too. Trust, trust, trust. Trust that God will turn this into something good because he will. (Romans 8:28) Second step: resist the devil. This is the definition of "resist" from the dictionary:
re·sist: withstand the action or effect of.
again, don't ever give up. stand strong. RESIST the devil, and he WILL flee. Jesus don't lie. ;) (just like my country accent)
This post is kinda all over the place and I sincerely apologize. But the point I'm getting to is this: your river will, and is coming. Even when it's so dark you can't see where you're going, there's a crack in the door filled with light. God is on your side. So, then, who can be against you? You will be okay. God does see you. You are not alone. Just hold on a little longer. I can hear your river coming. It's rushing, and it's beautiful.
I hope you enjoyed this even though I don't claim to be a very good writer. I pray this gave you hope to move on. :)
