Cherishing Friendship

I think one of the highlights of our life that never cease is friendships. There are so many different kinds and so many occur, it can be a beautiful or a terrible thing. I have had my fair share of both, no worries! Friendship usually starts when you meet a person, or you are introduced, and you have something in common. If you decided to carry this on, boom, friendship. But the tricky thing about friendship in this day and age, is are we really paying attention to who we are associating with? Now I'm not saying defriend everyone you know and seclude yourself, because that is a horrible place to be, trust me. But when's the last time you took a look to see who was pouring into you and if they were building you up or tearing you down? I've come to notice a large community of people having "friends". But these people they call friends all the time tear each other down with hurtful words and bash on each other. Yet they remain "friends". I don't know about you, but if these people were my so called people I love and lie I be around, I'm not sure I'd stick around. We have to make a conscious effort to see who we let in our personal life. If you fill your life with unsaved, people who don't walk in the will of God all the time, it's going to effect you, and not in good ways.  If you fill your life with encouraging, god-loving people, it's going to effect you for the better! It can be truly hard to choose the right people, when so many persons wear masks over who they really are. If you ask for discernment, God will surely bless you with it! There are lots of other times I truly feel like I really have no friends. But I am quick to forget, Jesus is and always will be the perfect friend. He is no different than any other! He will never betray you or beat you down! Jesus will build you up, just by reading his word! And if you feel alone, pray for friends! It can feel so hard at times but I promise, there will always, always, always, be light at the end of the tunnel. I have had a rough past few months, but God has opened up doors and friendships that could far out weigh my sadly ended, broken hearted past friendships. If only I had sought the Lord's face for guidance! He will bring people to you, when you stop looking for people. (: God will always keep and guide you, even in the small things. I hope you can take this advice that I wish was given to me! I love and bless you all always!!!
