The not-so-forced smile

We ALL have those days. You know what I'm talking about. The ones where you feel like giving up right before you even get out of the bed. You can't even possibly seem to force a smile on your face. Today is just one of those days for me. But let me inform you on a little secret of mine, it doesn't have to be that way. So you're thinking okay, crazy fourteen-year-old know-it-all thinks she has got it figured out. But truth be told, I really don't! See that's where I fail as a human being. But when I discovered that through God, I don't have to have those days, my world rocked. I simply hit my knees and prayed for joy. Now mind what people want to tell you, there is a HUGE difference in joy and happiness. Happiness is fleeting a definitely not permanent. Joy on the other hand is a whole lot better. Joy is something that can only be found through one person, you guessed it, none other than God himself. Joy isn't something you can jut go buy from the store and mix into your water. You have to work to be joyful. It's not found in clothes, or shoes, or even all the money you can dream of! It obtained by submitting to God and His plan {nope! not yours!} for your life and prayer. That's it! Now can you always expect to have perfect days? No way! It's really impossible! Trust me, I know first hand. But when you have joy in your salvation and just knowing that you are loved by people and Jesus, it can turn your frown into a smile! (: Even when you really need a pick-me-up, it's not always going to be found in a fancy bible study or a preacher on the local channels. We have this handy dandy instruction manual called a Bible.Don't believe me? Look for yourself. There are people just like you in every situation you face! So, coming to a conclusion of today's post, BE JOYFUL!!! A smile is the most beautiful thing a person can wear! I send my dearest love to you all! (: Happy Tuesday!
